Akin Microfinance  was incorporated as a community Bank and commissioned for business in 1991. Akin MFB is the microfinance bank of choice with a mission to empower micro-entrepreneurs and low income earners in sustainable, ethical and profitable manner. One of the principal objectives of the bank was to provide and affordable financial services to the teeming micro enterprises who are always frustrated  by the big commercial banks in granting them access to funds to expand or out-rightly fund their projects. We not only provide succor to these direct investments but also offer financial advices and guide them on best practices in their respective businesses such that they guarantee investment returns to the owners and consequently create wealth for our shareholders. Our target audience are the economically active poor and micro, small & medium entrepreneurs.

Our believe is that whatever the heart of a man can conceive and also believe, then such intentions are quite achievable.

In Nigeria, looking at many developing countries, a systematic approach and a well articulated programme through the provision of credit facilities and financial services to low income earners and micro entrepreneurs is the panacea to socio-economic growth.
